Jones Named Chairman of NFL Network Panel

By Albert Breer -- Dallas Morning News, 10/09/2007

Jerry Jones has been named chairman of the NFL Network Committee, taking the reins from Patriots owner Robert Kraft. The network has had issues with cable providers in getting service to its customers, and Jones showed no hesitation to the take them on Monday.

"Today there are more options than ever before for consumers in terms of choosing a television provider," Jones said, referencing satellite and telephone companies. "Those fans whose access to NFL Network is still being blocked by their cable provider will have both the opportunity and the incentive to switch providers if cable continues to deny customers the programming they want."

Jones is joined on the committee by Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, Panthers owner Jerry Richardson and Rams vice chair Stan Kroenke.
